On September 30, 2026, at around 00:10, a group of approximately six to seven individuals armed with guns arrived on about five motorcycles at a superstore located along Highway 43 in Bo Thong sub-district, Nong Chik, Pattani. They split into teams and carried out attacks at several locations. Initially, no casualties were reported.
In the morning, bomb‑disposal officers and forensic police examined the warehouse. They found the warehouse door damaged by the blast and scattered pieces of an improvised explosive device around the site, which they collected as evidence. Preliminary analysis indicated the device weighed about 10 kilograms.
At the warehouse entrance, a six‑wheel truck was found burned, its cabin damaged. Investigators said the suspects had entered the warehouse armed, ordered the truck driver and staff to leave, then divided into three groups. The first group placed the explosive at the warehouse door, the second doused the truck with fuel and set it alight, while the third provided cover and security around the area. All fled the scene on motorcycles.
In addition to the warehouse attack, police reported related incidents in Nong Chik district: CCTV cameras were burned at two spots – the entrance to Klong Kut village, Moo 1, Bang Kao sub-district, and in front of the Army School, Moo 4, Bang Kao. Nail‑strips were also scattered on the Pattani‑Hat Yai highway near Ko Mo Kaeang village, Nong Chik.
Officers are now gathering evidence from all scenes, reviewing surrounding CCTV footage, and conducting forensic and fingerprint analysis to link the incidents and apprehend those responsible. They are still investigating the motive and connections between the multiple attacks in Nong Chik.
