The National Digital Economy and Society Commission (NDESC) continues to promote ethical AI development and use in line with Thailand’s AI Ethics Guideline, aiming to build awareness and strengthen oversight for transparency, fairness, safety, and social responsibility. Led by Commission Secretary-General Weethang Puangsap and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Kiatsin of Mahidol University’s Faculty of Engineering, the initiative produced the guideline and, for 2026, updated its online course to reflect new technologies and risks. The course covers AI governance, risk management, and responsible AI development, and includes a free self‑assessment tool available at https://ai-ethics.bde.go.th. In October, NDESC will offer a free online training titled “Know AI, Use It Confidently and Ethically” from 1 to 22 October 2026, featuring experts from various fields sharing real‑world experiences on ethical AI use. Interested participants can scan a QR code or register at the same website. The commission invites everyone to help build an ethical AI ecosystem in Thailand that earns trust from all sectors, and encourages further study and self‑assessment via its online tools.
