Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, accompanied by Mrs Somruethai Boonsom, Pol Maj Gen Kumphanat Arunkeerirot of Region 4, Pol Maj Gen Kiattikul Sontheera of Region 2, members of the Metropolitan Police Wives Association, and officers from the Metropolitan Police Support Division, traveled to Khlong Chan flats in Bang Kapi district to visit police personnel responsible for monitoring and assisting residents during the flood. They held a meeting with relevant officials at the Nida Command Center to receive updates on the water situation and instructed staff to prepare tow trucks to remove disabled vehicles from main roads once the water recedes. The team also delivered food, drinking water, and essential supplies by boat to residents of Khlong Chan flats, where floodwaters in some areas had reached chest height.
Later, Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom and Pol Maj Gen Prasong Ananmenee of Region 3 went to Rom Klao police station, bringing supplies to help flood‑affected residents, noting that the station had become a centre for evacuees, with many people unable to leave their homes due to deep water. The station was used as a temporary shelter, and a survey showed that residents needed additional medicine, sanitary pads, and diapers. Police physicians from the Police Hospital were stationed at Rom Klao to provide medical care, and medicines were made available for treatment.
Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom added that the Metropolitan Police had deployed a royal‑gifted drone to deliver food, water, and medicine to locations inaccessible by boat, including remote areas and rooftops of Khlong Chan flats, with a flight range of about one kilometre. The same drone had previously been used to drop supplies onto the roofs of the flooded flats.
He also ordered all police stations to increase vigilance against thieves and fraudsters who might target evacuated homes, especially vehicles left parked to avoid floodwaters, and to monitor areas where water has receded to prevent looting. No such incidents have been reported so far.
Finally, together with officers from Rom Klao police station, they transported drinking water, food, medicine, and relief goods by boat and large trucks to residents of Zone 8 of the Rom Klao housing estate, where water remained over one metre deep in many spots. Numerous vehicles were submerged, and residents were forced to stay on the second floor of their homes, collecting relief packages from roofs and balconies.
