Police Wives Deliver Flood Relief to Bangkok Police Families
Bangkok’s Metropolitan Police Commissioner and the Police Wives Association delivered relief packs to police families stranded by flooding in the Khao Rong Klu housing estate. They also assisted in distributing royal kitchen meals in Ladkrabang, where water had reached chest height. Officials said the aid will continue until floodwaters recede.
Pol Lt Gen Siam Boonsom, Pol Maj Gen Tiwakorn Somwantee and other senior police officials led a team that brought water, rice and relief packs to Police Flat 24 within the Khao Rong Klu estate, where floodwaters stood chest‑high. Together with officers from Ladkrabang and the Royal Kitchen project, they prepared and distributed about 500 meal boxes per round to local residents for roughly two hours. Pol Lt Gen Siam said the initiative, supported by the Police Wives Association and local authorities, will continue until the flood situation improves, while ongoing aid will be provided to police families and residents in Khao Rong Klu as waters remain high.
