Army Transport Delivers Flood Aid in Bangkok’s Eastern Districts
Army Transport units are delivering food, medicine and water to flood‑affected communities in Bangkok’s Min Buri and Nong Chok districts while preparing 15,000 relief packs. Lieutenant General Thanawich Kittisukhun visited the troops, praised their work and oversaw the distribution of supplies. A vehicle maintenance battalion also moved 50 tonnes of rice to support the relief effort.
On October 3, 2069, at the Army Transport Department headquarters, Lieutenant General Thanawich Kittisukhun, Commander of the Army Transport Department, inspected troops engaged in flood‑relief operations across Bangkok. He presented morale‑boosting items and gave a pep talk, emphasizing sacrifice, responsibility and full‑capacity assistance for affected residents.
After the inspection, the commander led personnel and vehicles to Min Buri’s Pracha Rrom Kla village and Nong Chok’s Royal Park Ville village, where they handed out food, medicine and drinking water to flood‑hit families to ease daily hardships.
Simultaneously, the Army Vehicle Maintenance Battalion reported that on the same day it supported the Bang Sao Thong Sub‑district Administration by off‑loading and transporting 50 tonnes of rice from trucks. The battalion also helped assemble relief packs, completing 3,000 of the targeted 15,000 kits on that day.
The effort to prepare the relief packs is part of a broader mobilisation of personnel and resources to stockpile essential supplies for systematic distribution to flood victims. The Army Transport Department and its support units demonstrate the integration of manpower, vehicles and materiel to deliver aid both in inundated areas and in logistics hubs, ensuring help reaches everyone affected by the disaster.
