Army Commander Delivers Aid, Medical Teams to Flood-Hit Bang Ban
General Surawut Chanthapoom, commander of the Army Development Command, visited Bang Ban district in Ayutthaya province to oversee flood relief operations, distributing 600 relief packs and 100 portable toilets. His team deployed medical units and used boats to reach elderly and bedridden residents, providing medicine, supplies and adult diapers. The flood has affected over 6,500 households, and the military pledged to stay until conditions normalize.

Accompanied by regional development officials, local leaders and the district chief, he handed over 600 relief packages and 100 portable toilets. The Army Development Command sent mobile medical teams, animal health units, field kitchens, water trucks and sanitation vehicles to aid residents, and used boats to access inundated neighborhoods. Special attention was given to seniors and bedridden patients, who received direct health examinations, medication, medical supplies and adult diapers from the medical teams. The flood has affected 6,520 households and 2,012 people in the area, with the 15th Mobile Development Unit coordinating ongoing assistance with provincial agencies. The commander urged all personnel to perform their duties to the fullest and to stay with the public under the principle that the army is a refuge for the people in every situation.
