The US Embassy in Thailand organized the 'American Fair' at May Fair Market in Nakhon Ratchasima from October 2-4, 2026, as part of the celebrations for the 250th anniversary of US independence. This followed the first American Fair held in September in Hat Yai, Songkhla Province.

US Ambassador Sean O'Neill said at the opening in Nakhon Ratchasima: 'This year, Americans around the world are celebrating the 250th birthday of America, just as families celebrate a significant event, so we want to invite friends to join us in the celebration.'

The Ambassador said that Korat is not only an important economic hub of the Northeast but also a city that plays an important role in promoting Thai-US relations. Evidence includes the Thai-American Friendship 200-Year Nature Trail in Khao Yai National Park, Friendship Road, and the use of the province's area for Cobra Gold joint exercises and other military drills.

Furthermore, the fair is open to the public free of charge. Inside, there will be various activities simulating a large traditional American State Fair, offering Thais the chance to experience exhibitions on American history and culture, showcasing innovations, products, and works of US companies and agencies, music performances, food, etc.

In addition, there will be performances by the Ratchasima College marching band, swing dance, bluegrass music, cooking demonstrations, and K-9 dog shows.

For the American Fair in Nakhon Ratchasima, it will run until October 4, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at May Fair Market, Nakhon Ratchasima.
