70-Year-Old Driver Kills Influencer Police Officer in Crash
A 70‑year‑old driver turned his car into the path of a motorcycle, killing Police Officer Thanaweat Kaeojikhan, known as the 'RoboCop Nonthaburi' influencer officer, instantly. The crash occurred on Bang Kruay–Sainoi Road in Nonthaburi at 5:40 pm on 18 October 2026. Police detained the driver, who tested negative for alcohol, and the case is under investigation.
According to the investigation, Officer Thanaweat was traveling from the Rachapruk intersection toward the Bang Si Mueang intersection at a moderate speed when the car, driven by 70‑year‑old Ek, made a U‑turn from a house to turn right onto Rachapruk Road. The car struck the right side of the officer’s motorcycle with full force, causing fatal injuries. Surveillance footage showed the road had a solid yellow line marking a median, prohibiting right turns or U‑turns. A witness, identified as Aunt Da, said the driver saw the motorcycle far away and turned, but the impact was loud and she later found the rider motionless. Police detained Ek for an alcohol test, which returned negative. Ek stated he saw the motorcycle in the distance, turned, and was hit; he did not flee and claimed he had no intention to cause the accident and did not know the victim was a well‑known police influencer. During questioning, fellow officers of the deceased confronted Ek, leading to a brief argument before station officers intervened. The officer’s body was sent to the Forensic Science Institute for autopsy.
