Region 4 police arrested 20‑year‑old Chanhan and his 19‑year‑old girlfriend Patcharee after they used scissors to threaten and rob a 13‑year‑old boy (referred to as Boy A) of 2,020 baht from a windshield‑wiper rubber shop on Mittraphap Road heading toward Nakhon Ratchasima, in Tambon Thap Kwang, Amphoe Kaeng Khoi, Saraburi Province. The suspects fled on a black‑grey Yamaha Fino motorcycle with Kanchanaburi license plates, intending to travel to Laos via Nakhon Ratchasima, Khon Kaen and Nong Khai. After the boy’s parents reported the crime, investigators from Kaeng Khoi Police Station coordinated with the Saraburi provincial police and Region 4’s Crime Suppression Division to track the couple. Police intercepted the motorcycle on Mittraphap Road entering Udon Thani; the male suspect abandoned the bike and his girlfriend and tried to flee on foot, but officers subdued both and recovered a backpack, a mobile phone, 2,620 baht in cash and the motorcycle from the backpack. During interrogation the suspects confessed to the robbery, saying they had thrown the scissors away near the scene. The woman was found to have no illegal items and did not obstruct police. Both remain in custody pending charges of joint armed robbery under Thai law.
