On October 23, 2026, at the Koh Samet Police Station in Chonburi, Pol. Maj. Gen. Wasan Techakasem, Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, Pol. Col. Chatri Sukhiri, Chonburi Provincial Police Commander, Pol. Lt. Col. Warawut Charoenchon, Deputy Commander of Provincial Police Region 2, Pol. Lt. Col. Phasakorn Paijit, Superintendent of Chonburi Provincial Police, and Pol. Lt. Col. Thanapong Photthi, Superintendent of Koh Samet Police Station, announced the arrest of Mr. Natthadanai and Ms. Wirawan inside a resort in Si Racha district, Chonburi.
The arrests followed reports of a serial thief targeting convenience stores across multiple provinces in Region 2. Investigation revealed the culprits were a man and a woman using a gray-black motorcycle to steal from 23 branches a total of 50 times across four provinces: Chonburi (38 times), Chachoengsao (7 times), Rayong (3 times), and Samut Prakan (2 times), with total damages estimated at 150,000 baht.
Officers tracked and arrested the two suspects, seizing nearly 100 items linked to the cases — including skin creams, soaps, shampoos, detergents, and the gray-black motorcycle used in the crimes. After each theft, the pair would change locations to evade capture.
The suspects initially confessed, claiming debt drove them to steal. They said they used some stolen goods themselves and sold the rest. Police have handed both suspects and the evidence to investigators for legal proceedings.
