The situation is driven by a strong southwest monsoon continuing to affect the Andaman Sea, southern Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand, causing stronger winds and waves. Combined with flood water from upstream areas, river levels are rising, particularly threatening communities outside flood barriers, areas without permanent flood protection, low-lying areas, and riverbank communities. Three routes requiring close monitoring are Sukhumvit Road, Suksawat Road, and Rama II Road. Residents in at-risk areas should watch for dangers from rising water levels.
