Bhumjaithai MP Slams Opposition Party's 'Foolish, Poor, Evil' Record
Bhumjaithai MP Supachai Chaisomut accused an unnamed party of a 'foolish, poor, evil' record, citing past IMF debt, mismanaged state‑enterprise sales, and three decades of electoral decline. He said the party’s seats dropped from over 100 to just 20 due to lost public trust. The post also referenced a 1996 no‑confidence debate where a dubious document was used without accountability.
On October 16, 2026, Bhumjaithai Party list MP Supachai Chaisomut posted on Facebook criticising an unnamed party, accusing it of a 'foolish, poor, evil' history. He said the party’s economic mismanagement during a crisis left Thailand with 510 billion baht of IMF debt and saw it sell state‑enterprise debt worth 85.1 trillion baht for just 19 trillion baht via the State Enterprise Policy Committee, causing massive damage and jailing of committee officials. Over the past 30 years since 1996 the party has lost every election, never regaining first place, and its seats have fallen from over 100 to just 20 as public trust eroded. He also cited a 1996 no‑confidence debate where the party displayed a single questionable document, suggesting deceit without accountability.
