Chelsea is prepared to sell Alejandro Garnacho after his transfer from Manchester United less than a year ago. Reports indicate the 22-year-old has yet to report for preseason training under new manager Xabi Alonso despite no reported injuries.

Players excluded from the 2026 World Cup squad have begun reporting to training camp and undergoing fitness tests for preseason preparation under Alonso's direction. Most have arrived, but the 22-year-old striker remains absent with no injury explanation offered.

Sources indicate Chelsea has run out of patience and believes Garnacho is not part of Alonso's team plans, so they are open to offers for the forward they signed from Manchester United for £40 million last summer. The board is inclined to sell outright rather than loan him out. Roma from Italian Serie A is reportedly interested in Garnacho, though negotiations have not yet formally begun.

Deputy Interior Minister Inspects Phuket Cannabis Shop Over Violations

Deputy Interior Minister Palpir Suwannachuay, accompanied by Phuket Governor Chotinorin Goedsub and relevant agencies, conducted an inspection of cannabis retailers and unlicensed businesses in Chalong Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket on July 11. The inspection was triggered by the previous day's arrest of two women attempting to transport approximately 30 kilograms of cannabis from Phuket, which led investigators to this establishment.

During the search, officials found that the shop's business license had been suspended for non-compliance with regulations, yet it continued operating and selling cannabis products. Authorities discovered pre-rolled joints and various cannabis-infused snacks, constituting clear violations of food laws and business regulations. The shop's license is expected to be revoked.

Inspectors also requested customer records to verify that buyers had valid medical certificates, but found none. This suggests the shop failed to maintain proper documentation.

Deputy Minister Palpir clarified that legally licensed shops selling cannabis only to customers with valid medical certificates face no issues and the government fully supports medical cannabis use in line with the Public Health Ministry's intent. However, this operation did not meet those standards and legal proceedings will continue.

MEDEZE, the Pharmaceutical Organization (Por Ror Sor), and Cretan Associates Limited have signed a memorandum of understanding to establish GPO Medeze Empower Co., Ltd. with initial registered capital of 105 million baht. The company will develop manufacturing facilities for cell culture media and advanced medical products (ATMPs) meeting GMP standards, aiming to reduce reliance on imported raw materials, support biopharmaceutical research and production, and position Thailand as Asia's biopharma and medical innovation hub.

The new company plans to become a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) for biopharmaceutical products, supporting research development from universities, hospitals, researchers, and biotech companies both domestically and internationally. The initiative targets reducing cell therapy production and treatment costs by 30-50 percent, making quality, internationally-standard medical innovations more accessible to the public.

Dr. Somruk Chungsamnan, Deputy Minister of Public Health, expressed strong support for the partnership, calling it a significant step in public-private collaboration to advance Thailand's advanced medical industry. He emphasized that while Thailand is internationally recognized as a medical hub, the next phase is to transition from providing quality medical services to developing indigenous medical knowledge, technology, and innovation. ATMPs—encompassing cell therapy, gene therapy, and biotechnology—represent crucial future technology that is transforming global disease treatment approaches.

ATMPs offer Thailand opportunities to strengthen health security, reduce dependence on foreign technology, and enhance competitive capacity. Investment in advanced medical technology today is investment in the future, establishing foundations for Thailand to become a genuine Medical Innovation Hub. Officials praised contributions from the Pharmaceutical Organization, MEDEZE Group Public Company Limited, and Cretan Associates in leveraging public and private sector collaboration to create benefits for citizens and build a new future for the country.

In a recent interview, the two discussed their partnership evolution and how fan support has become a driving force for their continued self-improvement. When asked about their journey, Om humorously responded by singing about their learning experience together. "We've come a long way," Om reflected, "from having nothing at the start to where we are today. We're grateful to everyone who made this happen, and we didn't expect life would have this path for us. We'll keep developing ourselves."

Ling Ling noted their most significant change: "Now we have more people who love us." Om emphasized that their biggest surprise was the size of their fanbase, which has grown exponentially. "I never expected our fans to be this many or love us this much," she said, humorously claiming their numbers had grown "800 million times" since moving to the Impact Arena scale.

Beyond Thailand, their international fanbase has also expanded significantly. Ling Ling shared that she's collaborated with productions from France, Korea, and China, each bringing different working styles that have broadened her perspective, while fans continue their unwavering support.

Ling Ling expressed deep gratitude for fans who travel to see them, understanding that each journey requires saving money for tickets, registration, and waiting in lines. "Every moment we spend with fans is worthwhile, especially for the children and elderly," she said. Om added that they deeply appreciate fans who have saved money for months just to attend their events, emphasizing how they never take that dedication for granted.

Authorities have issued arrest warrants for two brothers, 33-year-old Wiroj and 27-year-old Thani, in connection with a fatal shooting at a pre-ordination ceremony in Moo 7, Phraya Ban Lue, Lad Bua Luang District, Ayutthaya Province. The incident claimed the life of 36-year-old Piyadom and injured 27-year-old DJ Suphannee with a stray bullet.

According to the victim's wife, a friend named Wa had invited her husband to the ordination ceremony and assured him that past conflicts with the suspects had been resolved. Despite knowing the other party would attend, the victim and his wife decided to go. While mingling with guests, gunshots erupted. The wife heard the shots and found her husband lying motionless in a pool of blood. Witnesses report the suspects first struck the victim with a bottle before shooting him at close range.

The victim's sister revealed that a dispute had occurred during Songkran, but both sides had apologized and reached an understanding. The family did not expect the violence to escalate. The victim was the family's breadwinner, supporting his mother, wife, and elementary school-age daughter. He had just acquired a new vehicle two days prior, intending to use it for work to secure his family's future.

The Ayutthaya Provincial Court approved arrest warrants charging both men with murder, attempted murder, unlawful possession of firearms and ammunition, unlawful carrying of firearms in public, and reckless discharge of a firearm. A ceremony to receive the victim's remains is being held at Wat Yai temple in Bang Pa-in District.

Man's Four Teeth Knocked Out During ICU Emergency Treatment

A man who survived multi-organ failure at Nakhon Phanom Hospital lost four teeth when doctors applied force to intubate him during emergency treatment. He recovered one tooth through coughing and used a retainer to realign the others, but q

Man's Four Teeth Knocked Out During ICU Emergency Treatment
6h ago Khaosod

A man named Tor shared his extraordinary survival story from Nakhon Phanom Hospital, where he spent five nights in the ICU with multi-organ failure and was given only a 10% chance of survival. His family was advised to prepare for the worst, but against all odds, he regained consciousness and recovered miraculously. Upon waking, he noticed something felt wrong in his mouth—his four upper front teeth were broken and loose. His family explained that during intubation, when his vital signs became unstable, doctors had to apply force to insert a breathing tube, which inadvertently damaged his teeth.

When he first returned home three days into recovery, he coughed forcefully while eating and one tooth dislodged, which he showed his nurse. The doctor warned him that while it's rare for a tooth to exit the lungs through coughing, it was possible. Surprisingly, when he consulted the doctor before the planned endoscopic procedure, he discovered one tooth had actually already come out during that cough. X-rays confirmed there was nothing left in his lungs.

Facing the damage to his teeth, he used an old clear retainer to stabilize the loose teeth by pushing it on gently but firmly. To his amazement, the teeth realigned perfectly into their grooves, and his smile was restored. For his missing lower teeth, he quickly got a private dental implant and was soon able to smile broadly again. He concluded his post by asking the public three questions: whether this constitutes medical malpractice entitling him to continued treatment rights, how long it takes for government hospitals to provide dental implants, and for recommendations for good but affordable dental clinics. He also expressed gratitude for his recovery, noting that four teeth were a small price for his life, and emphasized accepting reality with peace of mind.

A 23-year-old motorcyclist witnessed a tractor lose control and crash into a canal, so he immediately stopped and jumped in to help. However, the older driver could not swim, and combined with the strong current, both men drowned. On July 11 at 4 p.m., Sirote Petdee, a duty officer at Muang Phichit Police Station, received a report of a tractor plunging into the Muang irrigation canal with a good Samaritan attempting a rescue. The incident occurred near Irrigation Canal C-67 Gate in Baan Tha Pothi, Muang Old Subdistrict, Muang District, Phichit Province. Rescue units were mobilized to search for the two missing people. At the scene, a motorcycle and a pair of shoes were found by the canal. Within 30 minutes, rescue workers discovered both bodies underwater—the tractor driver clinging tightly to the young rescuer. Both bodies were brought up from the canal without vital signs. The deceased were identified as Surin, 70, the tractor driver, and Peerapat, 23, the good Samaritan who attempted the rescue. Both were neighbors from the same village. Investigation revealed that Surin was driving a tractor with attached cart back from farmland, just 400 meters from home, when he lost control and plunged into the canal. At the same moment, Peerapat was passing by on his motorcycle, saw the accident, quickly parked, removed his shoes, and jumped into the water to help. Unable to swim, Surin clung tightly to Peerapat, and the powerful current—caused by full water gate releases from Canal C-1 into Canal C-67—swept both men under, resulting in their deaths.

On July 11, 2026, Royal Thai Police arrested two suspects, Kiarti Sakdi and Sopol, along with 3.9 million methamphetamine pills, one van, one pickup truck with an enclosed bed, and one mobile phone at a parking lot in Bangkok's Khlong Samwa district.

Bangkok Metropolitan Police had been investigating reports of drug smuggling into the capital. Officers learned that suspects were using vehicles to hide methamphetamine and park them in residential areas to distribute to customers. At 9 PM on July 9, surveillance units observed a pickup truck pull alongside a van. Two suspects exited and transferred large black plastic bags from the van into the pickup bed. Police moved in to make the arrest.

The methamphetamine originated from the northeastern region and was being transported through Bangkok to southern provinces. Police believe this operation had occurred multiple times previously. Investigation revealed the suspects had spent 300,000 baht in cash to purchase two used vehicles for drug transport. Both suspects admitted to receiving 5,000 baht per trip. Charges have been filed, and police are pursuing other network members.
