Cabinet Approves Yasachanan and Nikorn as Acting Labor Minister

Thailand's cabinet has approved two ministers to serve as acting labor minister on a rotating basis, starting immediately with Yasachanan Wongsawat handling the role alongside his higher education portfolio.

The cabinet has approved in principle the assignment of two ministers to serve as acting labor minister as proposed by the Ministry of Labor. At 2:00 PM on May 5, 2025 at Government House, Deputy Spokesperson of the Prime Minister's Office Lalida Permsvaivat announced following the cabinet meeting that the cabinet had approved the ministry's proposal to designate two ministers to serve as acting labor minister in the following order: 1. Yasachanan Wongsawat, Minister of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation 2. Nikorn Somklang, Minister of Social Development and Human Security. This assignment is effective from May 5, 2025 onwards.
