The Cabinet has approved a draft regulation setting vehicle tolls for Friendship Bridge 5 (Bueng Kan–Bolikhamxai). Deputy Government Spokesman Ploythale Luksameesangchan revealed the decision on August 18, 2025, following a proposal from the Ministry of Transport, and the regulation will be sent to the Office of the Council of State for further review.
Toll rates are structured by vehicle type: - Passenger cars (up to 7 seats): 50 baht - Small buses (more than 7 but not exceeding 12 seats): 100 baht - Medium buses (more than 12 but not exceeding 24 seats): 150 baht - Large buses (more than 24 seats): 200 baht - Four-wheel trucks: 50 baht - Six-wheel trucks: 250 baht - Ten-wheel trucks: 350 baht - Trucks exceeding 10 wheels: 500 baht
Exemptions have been granted for international scheduled buses operating on the Bueng Kan–Bolikhamxai and Bolikhamxai–Bueng Kan routes, Thai government vehicles (up to 50), and Laotian government vehicles (up to 50), with exemption passes to be jointly designed by officials of both countries.
