Bus Company Launches Budget Routes to Laos and Southern Thailand
Transport company BKS launched two new budget routes: Udon Thani to Vientiane for 80 baht and Bangkok to Takua Pa to Thaolamu pier for 1,075 baht, with air-conditioned buses operating twice daily on each route.
Transport Company Limited (BKS) has launched two new bus routes: Udon Thani to Vientiane for 80 baht and Bangkok to Takua Pa to Thaolamu with seamless connections. Arthavit Rakchamaroon, chief executive of BKS, announced that the inaugural Udon Thani to Udon Thani International Airport to Vientiane service began at 9:30 a.m. at the airport, with passengers responding positively. The feeder service improves convenience for travelers using the airport.
The Udon Thani-Vientiane route covers 87 kilometers with fares at 80 baht. Air-conditioned buses with 40 seats run twice daily, departing Udon Thani station at 9:00 a.m., arriving at the airport at 9:30 a.m., and reaching Vientiane at noon. Return buses depart Vientiane at 2:00 p.m. and reach Udon Thani station at 5:00 p.m.
On the same day, the Bangkok to Takua Pa to Thaolamu pier route also began operations. The inaugural service departs Bangkok (Mochit 2) at 6:35 p.m. on September 9 and returns from Thaolamu pier at 5:00 p.m. on September 10. VIP air-conditioned buses with 24 seats cover 797 kilometers at 1,075 baht per ticket. Both routes aim to provide travel options for residents and tourists, support Phangnga tourism, and generate revenue for BKS and its partners. Tickets are available through BKS website, mobile app, Facebook, Line, and authorized outlets nationwide.
