At 5:28 AM on July 10, 2026, the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation announced a road closure on Prachadhipok Road between Ban Khaek intersection and Wangwan Circle to facilitate repairs to the Purple Line extension tunnel.

Motorists heading to Wangwan Circle are advised to use Phra Pokklao Bridge or Phra Buddha Bridge, turn left onto Itsaraphap Road, then proceed via Lat Ya Road to reach Wangwan Circle. Those traveling from the Thonburi side toward Ban Khaek intersection should use Lat Ya Road as an alternative route.

The road closure stems from repairs needed in the Purple Line tunnel construction area near Wangwan Circle following a previous incident where water flooded the construction site.
