Chonburi FC Coach Resigns After Fourth Consecutive Defeat
Chonburi FC head coach Rungsan Wichaiyasok resigned immediately after the team's fourth consecutive loss, a 1-2 defeat away to Sisaket United that left the club without a point in the new Thai League season. He accepted responsibility for the poor results but expressed confidence that the squad has the quality to rebound. The Sharks now face a home match against Prachuap as they seek to end their winless start.
Chonburi FC head coach Rungsan Wichaiyasok said he understands he must answer for the team's results and believes the players have the ability to improve even if he is not there. Speaking after the 1-2 loss to Sisaket United, he thanked the players for their effort but noted lapses in concentration late in the game. He acknowledged that the upcoming home game against Prachuap will be tough, especially with experienced coach Samak Pabprasert on the opposition bench, but expressed confidence the squad can cope if changes are made. Rungsan said the side has tried various adjustments since the opening match, yet nothing has clicked, and the players have not been able to deliver the performances the team needs. He thanked the Chonburi fans for their support and understood their expectations, adding that while the start has been unfavorable, he trusts the current players will eventually find their form and bring the team back.
