CP Group aims for 30% of its workforce to become innovators and will leverage AI to accelerate ideas into tangible outcomes at the CP Innovation Exposition 2026. The Charoen Pokphand Group underscores its identity as an innovation‑centric enterprise, highlighting the key drivers that have powered its growth over 105 years and committing to build a culture that invites employees from every department to think, test, and expand knowledge into real‑world applications through the CP Innovation Exposition 2026, also called the Buabuan Innovation Expo. Scheduled for October 20–22, 2026 at True Digital Park, the expo runs under the banner “Future Fest: Rise Together, Innovate Beyond”. Dr. Aschaw Taelanon, Senior Vice President of CP Group and advisor to the expo’s steering committee, said innovation is a fundamental pillar that has enabled CP to launch new businesses, adapt to shifts, and grow steadily—from seed trading and industrial agriculture to food, retail, telecommunications, digital services, and environmental sustainability. He recalled that CP’s innovative spirit began with understanding people’s problems, citing the early practice of printing expiration dates on “Flying Horse” seed packets by his forefather, allowing farmers to exchange expired seeds for fresh ones—a practice uncommon in Thailand at the time. This insight‑driven approach laid the groundwork for innovations that later expanded into industrial agriculture and other sectors. Nearly three decades ago, an internal engineers’ knowledge‑sharing forum evolved into the Buabuan Innovation Expo, now open to all professions—engineers, veterinarians, livestock specialists, businesspeople, technology developers, and sustainability creators from Thai and international firms—linked with the Chairman Awards and academic Symposium to facilitate cross‑business application and scaling of ideas. Shifting from a biennial to an annual format reflects rising submission numbers, greater creator diversity, and the organization’s readiness for continual innovation. CP Group also targets raising its innovator base to 30% of total staff, up from roughly 40,000 innovators among about 400,000 employees today.
