Deputy Education Minister Attends Funeral Rites for Teacher Papassara, Victim of Mass Shooting in Ayutthaya; Provides Personal Scholarship for Her Two Children Through High School
Deputy Education Minister Akkanut Kannikittinan attended funeral rites for Teacher Papassara, killed in an Ayutthaya shooting, and pledged 10,000 baht annually to support her two children through high school.
At 7:00 PM on April 27, 2025, Deputy Education Minister Akkanut Kannikittinan and his team traveled to attend the funeral rites and express condolences for Ms. Papassara Ruengrit, a teacher at Sukanthaaram School who died in a tragic incident, at Wat Raatsit Bamrung in Nong Pla Duk District, Ayutthaya Province. Surrounded by grieving family members, relatives, fellow teachers, students, and community members, the deputy minister expressed his deep sorrow and offered words of encouragement to the family. He confirmed that the Education Ministry will not abandon Teacher Papassara's family and announced his personal commitment to provide 10,000 baht annually to each of her two children until they complete their secondary education (Grade 12).
"Teacher Papassara's passing is not merely a loss for the Ruengrit family, but represents the loss of a dedicated education professional brimming with the spirit and commitment of a true teacher, which deeply impacts all of us at the Ministry of Education," the deputy minister concluded.
