Dimmed lights on rural roads ‘cut power costs by 40%’
Thailand has reduced electricity consumption by up to 40% on rural roads since May by dimming lights on low-risk routes, according to the government spokeswoman.
BANGKOK: Government measures to dim lights on “low-risk” rural roads to help reduce energy costs have cut electricity use by as much as 40% since May 1, deputy government spokeswoman Ploytalay Laksamisaengchan said yesterday (May 13).
