Serbian star Novak Djokovic broke Roger Federer's Wimbledon singles match record with his 106th victory at the tournament, defeating Roman Safiullin in the quarterfinals on July 5.
Novak Djokovic has set a new all-time record for most singles matches won at Wimbledon, surpassing Roger Federer's previous mark. The former world No. 1 from Serbia achieved the milestone at the 2026 Wimbledon Championships in London on July 5, defeating Roman Safiullin of Russia 3-1 in sets (7-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3) in the quarterfinals.
Seeded seventh, Djokovic advanced to the semifinals to face third-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime of Canada, who defeated Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina 3-2 in sets (6-7, 7-6, 6-3, 6-7, 6-1).
The victory marked Djokovic's 106th match win at Wimbledon, surpassing Federer's previous record of 105 matches. The 39-year-old, a seven-time Wimbledon champion, is also pursuing the all-time singles record across all categories, currently held by Czech-American legend Martina Navratilova with 120 matches at Wimbledon.
