Ex-Husband Stabs Ex-Wife to Death, Then Takes Own Life
A man fatally stabbed his ex-wife at a beverage shop in Chanthaburi on September 17, then took his own life in a nearby garden hours later after police began searching for him.
At 10:00 a.m. on September 17, Ta Mhai Police in Chanthaburi received a report of a stabbing with one female victim at a beverage shop in Khao Uer Subdistrict, Ta Mhai District, Chanthaburi. Police and rescue officials rushed to the scene and found the body of a woman named Jariya, who had been fatally stabbed with a knife. Investigation identified the attacker as her ex-husband, Wirach, 42 years old, who fled the area after the incident.
Officers later found the suspect's motorcycle parked near a garden in an adjacent district, where they discovered Wirach's body beneath a tree. He had taken his own life. Preliminary findings indicate the couple had been quarrelsome and had separated approximately one month prior to the incident. Police are preparing to conduct further interviews with individuals connected to the case.
