Ex-MP Defends Aide Facing Three Charges, Vows to Fight
A former MP appeared at a Bangkok police station to support his aide facing three charges, vowing to prove his innocence and requesting CCTV evidence to investigate the incident.
On July 15, 2569, at Phahon Yothin Police Station, Mongkolkitti, a former member of parliament also known as Teh Rama 7, went to the investigation room to monitor the questioning of Nat, a member of his team, who was being interrogated. Mongkolkitti confirmed he is ready to fight all charges, and preliminary investigation has revealed a total of three counts. His legal team is confident they can prove his innocence on all charges. Mongkolkitti firmly stated that Nat is a member of his team and his actions on the night of the incident were those of a responsible citizen. Should any mistakes have occurred, he hopes for understanding and sympathy from society and authorities. He also announced plans to request CCTV footage from the area dating back 30 days to investigate how the entertainment venue had been operating. Mongkolkitti further disclosed that his team had kept him updated on developments, noting that he had taken sleeping medication that night and was unable to go to the scene himself. He believes that had he not taken the medication and been able to reach the location, the situation would not have escalated.
