In its fifth year, Chang continues to support the development of young Thai golfers through the Chang Golf U-Champions Cup 2026, a collegiate-level golf championship that brings together athletes from leading universities across Thailand. The tournament aims to promote youth potential and build networks between higher education institutions.

The Chang Golf U-Champions Cup 2026 operates under Chang's commitment to sustainably support Thai golf, creating a competitive standard for university-level players at a critical stage before advancing to elite amateur and professional competition. The tournament also emphasizes discipline, responsibility, leadership, teamwork, and athletic spirit.

The second qualifying round took place on July 11-12 at Lakeview Resort and Golf Club in Phetchaburi province. Thirteen leading higher education institutions participated, including Assumption University, Bangkok University, Chulalongkorn University, Royal Military Academy, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Mahidol University, Silpakorn University, Royal Thai Air Force Academy, Royal Thai Police Academy, Sri Patyum University, Rangsit University, and Thammasat University.

Rangsit University won the round with a team score of 452 (229-223). Sri Pathumdom University placed second with 454 (227-227), and Assumption University finished third with 473 (238-235). Rangsit accumulated 100 points, Sripathum 80 points, and Assumption 70 points in the cumulative standings.

On July 13, 2025, Thailand Science Park (TSP) announced the launch of the TSP Scale X Landing Program under the concept "Two Journeys. One Ecosystem." The program creates new support mechanisms that provide startups not only with funding access but also connect entrepreneurs with markets, industry sectors, research, and essential partner networks for growth.

The program supports both foreign startups entering Thai and ASEAN markets and Thai startups expanding globally, bringing together government agencies, industry, education, investors, and international partners on a unified platform.

Dr. Chularat Tanprasert, TSP director, stated that innovation no longer results from a single organization working in isolation but from collaboration between research, industry, investment, and entrepreneurs. He noted that the main challenge for startups is not technology development alone but accessing markets, customers, industry sectors, talent, and appropriate capital sources. While startups need funding, they equally need access to business networks, infrastructure, and partners that reduce growth time and risk.

Under this program, TSP functions as an Ecosystem Orchestrator, connecting all sectors' capabilities to work efficiently together and help startups grow faster while reducing costs and business expansion risks.

"Amid intense regional innovation competition, TSP believes the ability to connect people, technology, capital, and markets is crucial to determining Thailand's role as a destination for ASEAN's future technology companies and startups," Dr. Chularat said.

For foreign startups, the program uses a Land • Localise • Commercialise approach to reduce market entry costs and risks, from company establishment to government and industry connections, product adaptation, pilot projects, and commercial expansion. Thailand becomes the starting point for expanding into ASEAN markets for technology companies and startups worldwide.

Thai startups receive support connecting with customers, industry sectors, investors, laboratories, and international partner networks to address growth challenges such as customer shortages, lack of testing facilities, or limited foreign market expansion opportunities.

The program's strength lies in providing startups single-point access to Thailand's science, research, and innovation resources: researchers from five national research centers, laboratories, research equipment, prototype factories, testing and analytical services, and a network of over 120 technology companies within TSP. Additional support comes from domestic and international partners.

Police at Phahonyothin Station are preparing to file four charges against Nitpong Kattapong, known as Sergeant Natt, after he turned himself in to investigators. The charges stem from his unauthorized presence at the Ladprao beer bar fire scene that killed 32 people and injured many others. Natt, dressed in military uniform, provided information to reporters and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul despite having no connection to the incident.

Natt reportedly knew he would face these four charges, which prompted his decision to meet with investigators. He has not yet given a full statement and requested additional time for detailed questioning. The case allows for bail application. Since Natt voluntarily appeared before investigators, he will be charged and released without requiring bail.

Police officers conducting an emissions checkpoint at Hadthairat Soi 40 stopped a vehicle bearing Bangkok registration plate 1นจ 795 when the driver, identified as 44-year-old Promwan, appeared suspicious. A search revealed a modified blank gun adapted to fire .22-caliber ammunition, 12 rounds of .22 ammunition, and ammunition casings. The suspect initially claimed the weapon belonged to a customer. Police charged him with illegal possession of an unregistered firearm without authorization from the registrar and unlawful possession of firearm ammunition. Deputy Transport Minister Sarupetch Bunnyanaphani ordered the Phuket Regional Harbor Office to intensify enforcement against jet ski operators following complaints about service standards and lax law enforcement in tourism areas. On July 15, harbor officials led by Adul Raluk Mool, working with marine police, conducted inspections on land and water to prosecute violations under Thailand's Navigation in Thai Waters Act.

The initial sweep resulted in 23 charges against operators for using vessels before obtaining proper licenses, a violation of Section 9 of the Navigation Act.
