The Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council (NESDC) serves as a committee member and secretary.
The committee's primary duties include proposing data center policies and standards to the Cabinet, monitoring and assessing investment impacts, appointing subcommittees, and implementing tasks assigned by the Cabinet or Prime Minister. When evaluating data center projects, the board will apply four critical dimensions: (1) economic benefits to the country, (2) clean energy use, energy security, and appropriate energy pricing, (3) efficient resource allocation covering electricity, water, urban planning, safety, and environmental protection aligned with carbon-neutrality goals, and (4) safeguarding national data sovereignty and security.
Government agencies may submit obstacles they encounter to the committee for review and remedial recommendations to the Cabinet. Once Cabinet approval is obtained, relevant agencies must implement the decisions and report results to the committee every three months, ensuring Thailand's data center policy advances effectively and sustainably.

The fund emphasizes joint savings between employers and employees and targets businesses with at least 10 workers that do not currently have a pension fund. At the scene, authorities met the stepfather, 30, and the child's mother, also 30. Medical inspection revealed the child had bruises and contusions throughout his body, with sharp-object cuts particularly evident on his genitals. Officers immediately transferred the child to a hospital for treatment.

Traditionally, when a young man in a Northeast Thai village died suddenly at night despite appearing healthy during the day, locals attributed it to the "widow ghost" or "widow disease," leading some families to hang women's clothing outside their homes or perform protective rituals. However, medical science now recognizes this phenomenon as Brugada syndrome, a disorder of the heart's electrical system rather than anything supernatural.
Brugada syndrome presents a diagnostic challenge because the heart's structure, muscle, and coronary arteries may appear completely normal during autopsy. The problem lies in the electrical control system governing the heartbeat. In affected individuals, sodium channels regulating electrical charge in heart cells malfunction, causing the lower heart chambers to beat rapidly and ineffectively—a condition called ventricular fibrillation. When this occurs, the heart cannot pump blood to the brain; the person loses consciousness, stops breathing, and can die within minutes without immediate CPR or defibrillation.
Research on Thai men who survived unexplained cardiac arrest found that ventricular fibrillation typically occurs at night during sleep, with electrical patterns consistent with Brugada syndrome in many cases. Studies of SUNDS deaths in Thailand show victims were predominantly males aged 20–49, many from the Northeast, with most deaths occurring between midnight and 6 a.m., peaking around 2 a.m.
This prevalence in Northeast populations reflects underlying genetic factors more common in Thai-Lao and Southeast Asian populations rather than lifestyle choices. On August 6, 2025, at the Suphachalasai Conference Room, the Department of Physical Education held a press conference and drew lots to organize the 2025 school football championship for the under-18 category B "DPE WOW Cup 2026." Currently, 6,743 approved infrastructure projects—including road repairs, electricity, water systems, and housing—cannot proceed due to restrictions under the Forest Reserve Act, National Park Act, and Wildlife Conservation Act, which also require environmental impact assessments. "Mae Hong Son residents face severe hardship," Pongphipat stated. "Many villages lack concrete roads, electricity, and water systems. Around 1:00 p.m., Suphavibulphol, one of several suspects summoned that day by police in connection with fraud involving civil service examination manipulation, was interrogated and informed of charges. A 28-year-old Irish man was found dead floating in a Phuket lagoon Thursday morning, with authorities investigating the circumstances of his death.
PHUKET — A 28-year-old Irish man was found dead floating in a lagoon in Phuket's Cherng Talay area on Thursday morning, with police investigating the cause of death.
Police received a report at around 11:00 on 6 August that a foreign man's body had been found in the Laguna water reservoir in Moo 6, Cherng Talay subdistrict, Thalang district.
Police from Cherng Talay Police Station, forensic officers, a medical examiner and rescuers from the Kusoldharm Phuket Foundation went to the scene to investigate.
Rescue workers recovered the body from the water for examination. The deceased was identified as Scott John Revie Little, 28, an Irish national.
Police conducted an initial examination of the body and assigned investigators to collect evidence, review CCTV footage and interview witnesses to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
Authorities have contacted the Irish Embassy to notify the victim's family and assist with procedures for repatriating the body.
The cause of death remains under investigation.
