BTS, ViaBus Launch Real-Time Transit Tracking
BTS and ViaBus have launched a real-time transit tracking app allowing passengers to monitor train locations on Bangkok's Skytrain and monorail lines, now integrating bus and ferry data into a unified platform for seamless journey planning.
BTS has partnered with Eastern Bangkok Monorail (EBM) and Northern Bangkok Monorail (NBM), along with Via Group Thailand and the National Innovation Office, to launch an upgraded real-time transit tracking application. The announcement was made at BTS Mo Chit Station on August 6, 2025. Under this collaboration, passengers can now track the live location of trains on the BTS Skytrain's green line (Sukhumvit and Silom lines) as well as the Bangkok Monorail's yellow and pink lines in real time—a first for Thailand. The app displays each train's destination and integrates data from other public transport networks, including buses and ferries, within the ViaBus platform, which has over 10 million users. This partnership represents a major step in consolidating multi-modal transport data—rail, buses, and ferries—into a single unified platform to enable seamless journey planning.
