Former Director-General of the Department of Local Administration Theeruthorn Suphavibulphol declined to comment with media after being summoned for questioning in a local government corruption fraud case on August 6. Around 1:00 p.m., Suphavibulphol, one of several suspects summoned that day by police in connection with fraud involving civil service examination manipulation, was interrogated and informed of charges. After questioning concluded and investigators granted him temporary release, he quickly left the building from the rear exit without providing any statement to reporters.
