Fire Destroys Five Wooden Houses in Bangkok Community
A fire destroyed five wooden houses in Bangkok's Din Daeng district early August 19, with firefighters battling narrow lanes to contain the blaze in about 30 minutes and no injuries reported.
A fierce fire swept through a wooden house community on Ratchdaphisek Soi 7, destroying five structures. Emergency responders mobilized to control the blaze and investigate the cause.
At 1:53 a.m. on August 19, 2025, the emergency line received a report of a residential fire on Ratchdaphisek Soi 7, Lane 15-4-1, in Din Daeng district, Bangkok. The Huai Khwang fire station, rescue units, and volunteers from the Ruam Katanyu Foundation immediately responded.
The scene consisted of closely built two-story wooden houses engulfed in intense flames. Nearby residents were alarmed and evacuated. Fire trucks faced difficulty entering the narrow soi, forcing firefighters and rescue volunteers to manually carry equipment into the area before deploying water cannons to prevent the fire from spreading. The fire was brought under control in approximately 30 minutes.
Initial investigations revealed that four to five houses were destroyed by the fire. No injuries or deaths were reported at the scene. Police are continuing their investigation to determine the cause of the fire.
