BANGKOK — On 10 August 2026, police are investigating a shooting incident at the Nonthaburi Provincial Administrative Organisation (PAO) office in Mueang Nonthaburi district, where its president, Pol. Col. Thongchai Yenprasert, sustained injuries. Initial reports identified the alleged gunman as Chalong Riewrang, a former Nonthaburi MP. Authorities have not yet confirmed further details, including the motive, at the time of publication. Officers were examining the crime scene, collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses to reconstruct the sequence of events.
