Lottery ticket stands across Chiang Mai sold out of numbers linked to a late abbot and former PM ahead of Thailand's May 16 draw. A numerologist predicts lucky pairs involving 7, 8, and 9 for Saturday's game.
Crowds descended on lottery ticket stands across Chiang Mai on May 14, 2026, eager to purchase lucky numbers for the May 16 draw. Numbers linked to the late Luang Pu Bua Ketu (Phrarajvatchakun Padmakhun), abbot of Wat Pa Dara Phirom who passed away on May 6 at age 91-92, sold out completely within hours. His numbers—91, 92, 72, and 06—emptied stands so quickly that many buyers were unable to purchase tickets.
Other hot numbers this week include 23, 26, 76, and 08, associated with former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra's recent release from prison on May 11. Numbers tied to auspicious dates also dominate, including 04, 13, and 05 for ceremonial occasions, and 31 for Visakha Bucha on May 31.
Numerologist Phloi Pairint, who specializes in astrological lottery predictions, forecasts that Saturday's draw (May 16) features the lucky pair 7 and companion numbers 8 and 9.
