The North and Northeast regions will see the heaviest downpours, caused by a low-pressure system covering northern Vietnam combined with a moderate southwest monsoon affecting the Andaman Sea, Thailand, and the Gulf of Thailand. Officials urge residents in affected areas to be alert to dangers from heavy and accumulated rainfall that may trigger flash floods and forest runoff.
Bangkok and surrounding areas: Thunderstorms expected in 20% of areas, mainly in the afternoon and evening. Minimum temperature 27-29°C, maximum 34-36°C.
Northern Region: Thunderstorms in 60% of areas with heavy rain in some places around Mae Hong Son, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, Lampang, Phayao, Nan, Uttaradit, and Phitsanulok. Minimum temperature 23-27°C, maximum 30-34°C.
Northeast Region: Thunderstorms in 60% of areas with heavy rain in some places around Nong Khai, Bueng Kan, Udon Thani, Sakon Nakhon, Nakhon Phanom, Kalasin, Mukdahan, Amnat Charoen, and Ubon Ratchathani. Minimum temperature 23-26°C, maximum 30-35°C.
Central Region: Thunderstorms in 30% of areas, mainly around Uthai Thani, Ayutthaya, Lopburi, Saraburi, Kanchanaburi, and Ratchaburi. Minimum temperature 23-27°C, maximum 33-36°C.
Eastern Region: Thunderstorms in 30% of areas, mainly around Nakhon Nayok, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Sa Kaeo, Chachoengsao, and Trat. Minimum temperature 23-27°C, maximum 32-35°C. Sea waves 1-2 meters high, higher than 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.
Southern Region (East Coast): Thunderstorms in 30% of areas, mainly around Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Yala, and Narathiwat. Minimum temperature 23-27°C, maximum 34-36°C. Sea waves approximately 1 meter near shore, 1-2 meters offshore, higher than 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.
Southern Region (West Coast): Thunderstorms in 30% of areas, mainly around Phuket, Krabi, Trang, and Satun. Minimum temperature 24-26°C, maximum 31-34°C. From Phang Nga northward, sea waves approximately 2 meters high, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm areas. From Phuket southward, waves 1-2 meters high, exceeding 2 meters in thunderstorm areas.
