The film 'Her in Frame' is coming soon. Produced by the Ministry of Energy and the Provincial Electricity Authority in partnership with Thai Broadcasting Television Company, this production marks the directorial debut of Gu Ekasit Kasemsukhue and was developed under the creative direction of Nong Arunrotcha Panuphan. The film stars accomplished actor Toh Thanaphop Leeratanakajor opposite actress Leena Lalina Chuet in their first on-screen meeting, alongside supporting performers including Non Inthanon, Ta Athiwat Saengthian, and Chris Christopher Tyler Jindapol.
The story centers on Tawan, a young film photographer obsessed with vintage cameras who repeatedly dreams of a mysterious woman. One day, he meets Mint, or Mintra (played by Leena Lalina), a textile curator at a Thai fabric museum, and is astonished to discover she resembles the woman from his dreams.
The narrative unfolds when Tawan purchases an old Contax II camera from an antique shop and discovers undeveloped film inside. Upon developing the photographs, he is shocked to see images of Kamalwan (also played by Leena Lalina), a young woman whose face appears identical to Mint's. These photographs were taken years ago in Uttaradit Province. Meanwhile, Mint is disappointed that Tawan has missed an important deadline for presenting her project work, nearly causing her assignment to be cancelled.
To apologize and prove the truth of the photographs, Tawan attempts to show Mint the vintage film images. Though Mint denies they are of her and dismisses the matter as absurd, fate intervenes when she is assigned to travel to trace the origins of a specific Thai fabric pattern at Ban Huai Tha in Uttaradit Province—the exact location where Tawan's photographs were taken. Mint travels with a new photography team including Jo (Ta Athiwat) and New (Chris Christopher), while Tawan and Art (Non Inthanon), his best friend and manager, decide to journey to Uttaradit to trace the source of the mysterious photograph.
They face difficulties questioning local residents about the person in the image until they are directed to a house in the remote town of Lap La. There, Tawan encounters Mint again by chance. These repeated meetings in distant locations lead Tawan to believe in fate, while Mint maintains her emotional distance and dedication to her work.
Amid the warm atmosphere of the northern countryside, Tawan helps with Mint's project work and begins to understand the value of Thai textiles through her perspective. Her emotional walls gradually crumble as she reveals the story of Kamalwan and Danai (also played by Toh Thanaphop), a civil engineer from Bangkok, whose profound connection is tied to memories preserved in photographs across time.
Director Nong Arunrotcha Panuphan revealed: "The film 'Her in Frame' has been honored by the Ministry of Energy and the Provincial Electricity Authority, which partnered with Thai Broadcasting Television to create this film. It draws inspiration from the profound love of His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen, which has been passed down through generations and continues to flourish under the current reign of His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn. We are deeply grateful to the royal household for their support."
