Influencer Ning Panita Targeted by Live Stream Identity Theft Scam
Thai influencer Ning Panita discovered a scammer impersonating her by re-running her old live stream footage to sell discounted products at Central Pin Klao while she was attending an event there. The fraudulent broadcast attracted thousands of viewers and numerous orders before Ning went live to expose the scheme. She has gathered evidence and plans to pursue legal action, as the scam threatens the brand she built with her life savings.
Influencer Ning Panita was shaking with anger after being targeted by an impersonator who used her name and image to re-run her old live selling clips at discounted prices. The incident occurred while the real Ning was attending the 'Kuay Saeb SHOW Festival' on the G floor of Central Pin Klao shopping center. A fan alerted her that her face was appearing on another live stream selling products, causing her to go live immediately to confront the fraudster, whose broadcast had already attracted thousands of viewers and numerous orders.
In an interview about the incident that left her 'angry beyond words,' Ning said she is collecting evidence and consulting a lawyer to pursue legal action to the fullest extent. The scam severely impacts the business she built by investing all her remaining savings — her life's work intended to secure her daughter's future.
'It's devastating,' Ning said. 'I was at the event checking content when a fan messaged asking why I was live at Central Pin Klao. The scammer used my name, my face, and saved my entire live selling session to replay as if it were me. Viewers were ordering heavily at prices my official agents could never offer.'
Ning emphasized that her products, developed under the Dr. MASTER brand, involved years of research and sourcing innovations from four countries — not something created casually. She works daily, goes live herself every day, and has poured every baht she has into this venture. The scammer had apparently been running this scheme for two to three days.
When Ning went live to confront the impersonator, the feedback showed 2,300 concurrent viewers and many orders before her fans flooded the chat identifying it as a scam, leading to the account being blocked. She hasn't yet verified the specific products being sold but noted the price was around 400 baht — far below her legitimate pricing. Ning warned customers to only buy through official, verified agents and stated she has captured all evidence for legal proceedings.
