Israeli Woman Deported From Koh Phangan After Disruptive Rampage
Israeli tourist deported from Koh Phangan and blacklisted after visa revocation over repeated public disturbances at a waterfall and hotel.
Surat Thani — Koh Phangan immigration police have taken a 33-year-old Israeli woman into custody after she repeatedly created public disturbances that damaged the island's tourism image. Acting on orders from the Immigration Bureau leadership — including Commissioner Pol Lt Gen Surachate Hakparn and senior commanders enforcing the "Investigate, Arrest, Don't Let Them Stay" policy against transnational crime and illegal entry — local immigration chiefs launched a targeted operation against badly behaved foreigners on Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, and Koh Tao.
Koh Phangan District Chief Paisith Thongchim chaired a screening committee meeting on October 27 to review the case of the Israeli tourist, who entered Thailand on a tourist visa on September 26. She has since been the subject of multiple complaints from business operators and tourists.
Her latest offenses occurred on October 18 at Than Sadet National Park's Phaeng Waterfall, where she acted aggressively, used abusive language, threatened officials, and chased away other visitors. On October 21, she caused a scene at a Koh Phangan hotel, berating staff with profanity, ordering paying guests to leave while claiming the property was her own, and failing to settle her bill.
The committee agreed her behavior severely harmed public order and the island's tourism reputation. Immigration Division 6 Commander Pol Col Chuthares Yingyongdamrong approved the visa revocation order. Koh Phangan immigration officers served the order, detained the woman, and are preparing her deportation to Israel along with a proposal to place her on the immigration blacklist barring future entry.
The action reflects coordination among immigration authorities, local administration, and the community to filter out undesirable tourists and maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The public is urged to report any suspicious or illegal foreign nationals.
