Prime Minister Anuthm Charnweerakul, speaking at Phuea Thai Party headquarters on September 6, 2026, announced the signing of a deportation order against Yaacov Ohayon, an Israeli national, to be removed from Thailand as of September 5, 2026. According to the Prime Minister's new regulations on deportation effective in 2026, any foreigner engaging in undesirable conduct, inappropriate behavior, or actions threatening national security and Thai citizens can be expelled from the country immediately. The Interior Ministry is implementing stricter and faster law enforcement. "We welcome tourists," Anuthm said, "but they must respect Thai laws, Thai people, and Thai traditions and culture. If someone acts inappropriately or breaks the rules, we reserve the right to ask them to leave the country according to the law."
