Pickup Truck Blocked Driveway, Got Lifted Away
A Ko Lanta homeowner, frustrated after a pickup truck blocked his driveway for days despite a polite note, used a forklift to lift and relocate the vehicle—prompting neighborhood intervention to resolve the dispute.
On September 6, 2026, a dispute arose over a pickup truck that had been parked in front of a house with the hand brake applied. The homeowner placed a polite written notice asking the driver to move the vehicle elsewhere, but the next morning, the note had been removed and the truck had not been moved. The homeowner then decided on a more drastic solution to teach the driver a lesson. A Facebook user posted an account describing how an unknown pickup truck had been parked in front of his house for four days and three nights. He had affixed a polite note to the windshield requesting the owner to park elsewhere, but the note was torn down by morning without the vehicle being moved. Frustrated, the homeowner used a forklift to lift the truck and leave it in a location where the driver would be unable to easily drive it out. In his post, the homeowner sarcastically remarked that he was providing free storage and care for the vehicle, and joked that the owner would now learn the meaning of consideration and respect. He suggested the owner might need time for a courtesy transplant and offered to store the truck for a couple of months without issue. The homeowner eventually discovered the truck belonged to a relative of someone renting a nearby house. After it became a neighborhood matter involving the community leader and the tenant, the homeowner was persuaded to have the truck moved.
