Chinese Gang Beats Officials at Rayong Construction Site, Flees
Three Chinese men attacked a safety officer and security guard with a crowbar at a data center construction site in Rayong's Pluak Daeng district, leaving them seriously injured before fleeing in a white Toyota Fortuner.
Rayong — A group of three Chinese men armed with a crowbar attacked a safety official and security guard at a data center construction site within the WHA industrial estate in Pluak Daeng district, Rayong province, leaving them seriously injured and possibly disabled. The suspects then fled in a white Toyota Fortuner, and police have launched a manhunt.
According to witnesses Sivapatsh Waratjatupat, the site safety officer, and Anuek Tibtem, the security guard, the incident occurred while they were conducting a routine inspection. They encountered three Chinese men—one a worker on site and two outside visitors—whose behavior seemed suspicious. When asked to show ID badges at the entrance, the men refused and became confrontational.
One of the Chinese men then grabbed a crowbar and struck the security guard's arm with such force that it fractured, and hit another worker on the head, shattering his helmet. All three men then attacked Sivapatsh and the security guard with what appeared to be no regard for the law. Sivapatsh fled and raised his arms to defend himself.
After the attack, the three men got into a white Toyota Fortuner and sped away. The security guard was rushed to Pluak Daeng Hospital and then transferred urgently to Rayong Hospital. Doctors warned that without immediate surgery, the arm injury could result in permanent disability.
As of the report, the attackers had not contacted police or discussed compensation. One Chinese man living in a worker camp was questioned and denied involvement in the assault. Police are gathering evidence, reviewing CCTV footage from multiple locations, and tracking the escape route to apprehend the two remaining suspects and file charges.
