Woman Found Dead in Rubber Plantation Pond After Five Days Missing

A grieving husband found his wife's body submerged in a pond in a rubber plantation after she vanished five days earlier. The husband believes supernatural forces may have been at work, citing mysterious sounds of a woman crying in the night on two consecutive nights before she disappeared, drawing her into the water—an area she had never visited before.

At noon on September 6, 2026, the Kaeng District Police investigative deputy received a report of a female body discovered submerged in a pond within a rubber plantation in Moo 8, Ban Na Subdistrict, Kaeng District. Medical personnel and rescue volunteers from the Buddhist Association were dispatched to the scene.

The deceased was a 55-year-old woman found face-down in the water. Officers retrieved the body and performed an initial autopsy. No signs of injury or foul play were detected, and death is estimated to have occurred at least three days prior.

During questioning, the husband, 60 years old, stated that his wife had been missing for five days. He searched for her and asked neighbors, but no one had seen her until someone discovered her body today. He noted that his wife had never usually visited this rubber plantation area. Before her disappearance, however, she had mentioned having a premonition.

Moreover, the husband and several neighbors reported hearing the mysterious sound of a woman crying late at night on two consecutive nights before she vanished. They believe the mysterious voice may have had supernatural origins or that a spirit may have possessed his wife and led her to the pond, resulting in her drowning.

Family members have not yet determined the cause of death and have requested the body for religious funeral rites.
