The sound of screeching brakes echoed as a pickup truck slammed into a roadside electric pole, wrecking the front of the vehicle. A 26‑year‑old woman witnessed the crash and said the driver abandoned the truck, fled the scene, then returned later wearing fresh clothes, claiming he had panicked and gone home to change. When rescue officials and police arrived at 02:30 on 13 October 2069 (2026) they found the Toyota Revo pickup with Chonburi plates severely damaged and the streetlight knocked over, but no driver was present—only the abandoned truck. Witness Ms. A said she saw the pickup traveling at high speed, heard the long brake screech, then watched it veer off and smash into the pole. She rushed to help, but the driver said nothing, got out and vanished, apparently being picked up by someone. Soon after, an elderly man arrived at the scene, but she insisted he was not the same driver. Over twenty minutes later the original driver returned, now dressed in a fresh outfit, accompanied by an insurance representative, and went to give his statement to the Bang Lamung police investigators. Initially the driver told officers he had panicked, gone home to change clothes, and then returned to face the charges, causing damage to public property. He refused to explain why he abandoned the truck and fled the scene. Police have taken him into custody for a record and will proceed with legal action.
