Jealous Ex-Husband Kills Wife's New Lover in Chachoengsao
A jealous ex-husband killed his former wife's new lover with a wooden club and box cutter in Chachoengsao, severing the victim's genitals before surrendering to police.
On November 2, 2026, Police Lieutenant Colonel Somchai Rasmee, Deputy Inspector of Bang Khla Police Station, revealed that at 10:00 PM on November 1, they received a report of a violent assault at a rented room in Bang Khla subdistrict, Bang Khla district, Chachoengsao province. Officers rushed to the scene along with forensic police and rescue workers.
At the scene, they found the body of Mr. Nimit (surname withheld), 55, lying in a pool of blood with severe wounds to his head and body, and a broken right kneecap. Nearby was a parked Isuzu pickup truck with Chachoengsao license plates. The victim had been attacked by Mr. Jaturong (surname withheld), 58. Despite CPR attempts, the victim died at the scene.
Investigation revealed that Ms. Jantima (surname withheld), 30, the victim's girlfriend, had previously dated the attacker for about two months before breaking up and starting a relationship with the victim. However, the attacker refused to accept the breakup and had been stalking and monitoring their movements.
On the day of the incident, the attacker climbed over a fence into the rental property and hid inside the room. When he saw the couple arrive and walk toward the room, he emerged with a wooden club and attacked the victim repeatedly until he collapsed beside the vehicle. The attacker then dragged Ms. Jantima back inside, but she fought back and escaped.
The attacker then returned to the victim, using a box cutter to slash his thighs, causing massive wounds, and severed his genitals, leaving them behind the truck.
As police arrived, they found the suspect on the opposite side of the area holding both the club and knife. Officers negotiated with him, ordering him to drop the weapons, which he did before confessing to the entire crime.
Mr. Jaturong stated he was jealous, claiming he had previously caught them together and found a whole box of condoms. He also alleged he had nearly killed the woman before, and she had promised to leave the victim but did not. The woman had recently started working at a subdistrict administrative office for about five months and had not yet passed her probation.
The suspect said he drove his Chevrolet with Nakhon Ratchasima plates from Korat, parked hidden at a market, and climbed through a window to wait in the room. He saw the victim's car circling the area, suspecting he was looking for the suspect's vehicle. When he peered through the curtain, he saw his wife get out of the victim's car. When she saw him, she ran to the victim. He chased her, grabbed her hair, and asked where she was going. The victim then turned and punched him, prompting the attacker to strike back with the club, hitting the victim's face, arms, and kneecap repeatedly, then using the box cutter to sever the victim's genitals "to satisfy himself." He initially intended to attack only the woman, but when the victim fought back, he carried out the fatal assault.
Police have initially charged the suspect with...
