Man Shoots Dead Ex-Girlfriend's New Partner in Jealous Rage
A 30-year-old man shot and killed his ex-girlfriend's new partner in Phetchaburi province on September 9, firing six rounds before surrendering to police and confessing to jealousy-driven murder.
At 5:34 p.m. on September 9, 2025, Khao Yoi Police Station in Phetchaburi received a report of a shooting death outside a residential building in Moo 3, Khao Yoi subdistrict, Khao Yoi district, Phetchaburi province. Officers including investigation sergeant Samet Yotthisak and superintendent Niyom Suiyong rushed to the scene with rescue workers.
At the location, police found the body of Theeraphat, 32, a resident of Khao Yoi subdistrict. He had suffered five gunshot wounds to the head and one to the body from a 9-millimeter firearm. A red Honda Dream motorcycle with a Phetchaburi licence plate lay overturned nearby.
The shooter was identified as Thawatchai, 30, from Sarapang subdistrict, Khao Yoi district, Phetchaburi province. He surrendered to police and stated he had thrown the weapon into a canal approximately one kilometer from the scene. Officers recovered it as evidence.
During interrogation, Thawatchai confessed to the shooting out of jealousy. He said he was in a relationship with a woman identified as Ms. A, the victim's ex-wife. When he discovered the two were still in contact, he became enraged and decided to shoot the victim fatally.
Police have transferred the victim's body to the hospital and are gathering evidence. Thawatchai is being prosecuted for murder.
