Pit Bull Kills 70-Year-Old Caretaker at Bangkok Home
A 70-year-old caretaker died after a pit bull attacked her in Bangkok's Bueng Kum district on September 9, biting her neck and hands while she attempted to collar the dog.
A 70-year-old woman died after being mauled by a male brown pit bull at a residential property in the Nawamintharaphiset area of Bangkok's Bueng Kum district on September 9, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. Lad Prao Police Station officers and rescue volunteers from Pu In Ruamjai Foundation responded to reports of a dog attack.
The incident occurred at two adjoining rental houses undergoing renovation, connected by a fence allowing passage between properties. Officers located a male brown pit bull with blood traces on its body. Attempts to lure the dog for capture were unsuccessful; the animal instead retreated into its own enclosure.
Officers discovered a 70-year-old female caretaker deceased from bite wounds to her neck and hands. Investigation revealed the victim had been attempting to place a collar on the dog when it attacked. Police are continuing their investigation at the scene and interviewing relevant parties.
