Autopsy Reveals Fatal Dog Attack Injuries on Woman's Face and Neck
A 70-year-old woman died from severe bite wounds to her face and neck after being attacked by a pit bull mix named Giant in her Bangkok home. The dog had previously killed its owner in 2021.
A 70-year-old woman named Wandee died after being attacked by a dog named Giant, a Bandkok breed or pit bull mix, inside a rented house in Bueng Kum district, Bangkok. On September 10, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at the Institute of Forensic Medicine at Police Hospital, Wandee's family arrived to collect her body for religious funeral rites. Two of her grandsons, authorized by the family to handle the arrangements, collected her remains while wearing masks, dark glasses, and hats to conceal their faces. They declined to speak with media, stating they were grieving and unable to process what had happened.
Autopsy findings showed Wandee had severe lacerations on her face, neck, and both arms. In particular, deep bite marks around her molars had fractured the bone beneath. Giant had previously killed its owner in 2564 (2021) in Tambon Bang Lamung, Chonburi province, before causing this fatal attack on its new owner in similar circumstances.
Wandee's body will be taken to Wat Bueng Thong Luang temple in Bang Kapi district, Bangkok, for religious services lasting three nights, followed by a funeral ceremony on Sunday, September 13, 2025.
