Kasetsart University Surpasses 384 Million Baht in Medical Park Donations
Kasetsart University has raised over 384 million baht in donations for its Medical Park project, which will include a medical faculty, nursing school, pharmacy, and 400-bed hospital at its Bangkok campus.
Kasetsart University announced that donations for constructing the Medical Faculty, School of Nursing, Faculty of Pharmacy, and Kasetsart Hospital under the university's Medical Park project reached 384,876,246.15 baht as of July 10, 2025. The university thanked all contributors from every sector who have supported this important national initiative and invited the public to join in building the country's future in medicine, education, and research.
Dr. Damrong Sripraram, acting rector of Kasetsart University, stated that over the past three years since the university opened donations on September 1, 2022, it has received compassion and support from faculty, alumni, staff, private companies, organizations, and donors nationwide. Donations have increased significantly, with contributions rising more than 101.92 million baht from the 282,953,076.12 baht announced on July 1, 2025, demonstrating nationwide confidence in the project.
"This figure is not merely a donation amount, but a symbol of trust, unity, and hope that everyone has given to the university to build the future of medicine and public health in our country," the acting rector said. The Medical Park project received Cabinet approval and represents the university's vision to advance healthcare science education, research, and medical services. The project was launched during the university's 80th anniversary in February 2023 and comprises four medical schools and a 400-bed hospital on approximately 50 acres at the Bangkhen campus. The Cabinet approved a total budget of 8,863.9 million baht, with 7,477.8 million from government funds and Kasetsart University required to raise 1,386.1 million baht.
The development of the medical faculty, nursing school, pharmacy faculty, and clinical teaching centers in collaborative networks continues to advance steadily. Kasetsart University is confident the hospital will serve not only as a medical facility but also as a learning center, research hub, and knowledge center in healthcare science that will produce quality physicians, nurses, pharmacists, and medical professionals to serve Thai society long-term. As of July 10, 2025, donations have been supported by numerous donors, particularly the Kasetsart University Savings Cooperative.
