King and Queen Open Royal Flora Project 57 Exhibition
King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida opened Royal Flora Project 57 at CentralWorld Bangkok on August 1, showcasing royal plant initiatives and highland community sustainable income projects through August 12.
His Majesty the King and Her Majesty the Queen attended the opening of Royal Flora Project 57 at 6:39 p.m. on August 1, 2025, at CentralWorld shopping mall in Pathumwan, Bangkok. The event, organized by the Royal Flora Project Foundation in collaboration with Kasetsart University and Central Development Company, runs from August 1–12, 2025, under the theme "The Blooming Legacy of Royal Flora: Preserving and Advancing Royal Plants from Highland to City."
The event honors His Majesty the King as Honorary Patron of the Royal Flora Project Foundation and celebrates Her Majesty the Queen on the occasion of her fourth-cycle birthday anniversary on June 3, 2025. It also pays homage to the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej, founder of the Royal Flora Project, and the late Queen Sirikit, who supported the foundation's work.
General Kampanart Ruddisath reported that the foundation aims to showcase the achievements and operations of the Royal Flora Project, promote sales of royal products and handicrafts, and advance the kingdom's royal initiatives. The King and Queen witnessed cultural performances titled "Everlasting Blossom" and "Bloom of Heart," along with a video presentation on the legacy and development of royal flora projects. They then activated the event's opening electronically and toured five commemorative exhibitions, including displays on the transition from opium crop substitution to cold-climate flowering plants and the conservation of Queen roses as sustainable income sources for highland communities.
