Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) announced the signing of a new LNG Sales and Purchase Agreement with ADNOC, one of the world's leading energy companies, to procure liquefied natural gas and bolster Gulf's LNG portfolio. Under the collaboration, ADNOC will deliver a total of nearly 2 million tonnes of LNG to Gulf, with deliveries commencing in 2027 onward, reinforcing Gulf's strategy to build a diverse and robust LNG portfolio as a foundation for its LNG trading business.

This LNG purchase agreement expands the existing cooperation between ADNOC and GULF, which was first signed in 2025, aligning with ADNOC's strategy to expand into the Asian LNG market.

Sarachat Rattanawadi, CEO of Gulf Development, said: "This agreement aligns with our goals for Gulf Resources to build a diverse and stable LNG portfolio that will serve as the foundation of our trading business. We have been steadily investing in infrastructure, maritime transport, and expanding our relationships with major global LNG partners to strengthen every link in our LNG value chain, from upstream to downstream. Partnering with ADNOC not only boosts the security of our LNG portfolio but also creates new trade opportunities for Gulf in the Asian market. Combined with our existing LNG contracts with other suppliers, this deal enhances Gulf’s ability to trade LNG, enabling us to meet rising future energy demand and support the region’s energy transition."

Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of Downstream, Marketing and Trading at ADNOC Group, added: "This agreement builds on our first LNG sales contract with Gulf and underscores ADNOC’s commitment to providing energy security for our Asian partners. It marks another important step for ADNOC as we expand our portfolio in Asia and increase flexibility in LNG trading to meet growing global demand."
