Gulf Launches Gastech 2026 With Energy and Digital Focus

Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) officially began its participation in Gastech 2026 as a National Consortium Partner, marking the opening day of the world's largest and most influential exhibition and conference dedicated to natural gas, LNG, low-carbon technologies, power generation systems, and AI for the energy sector. Now in its 54th edition, Gastech returns to Thailand for the first time in 18 years, taking place at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, from September 14-17, 2026. The opening ceremony welcomed energy leaders and policymakers from around the world, with more than 50,000 attendees from over 150 countries.

GULF's participation reaffirms its position as Thailand's leading energy and infrastructure conglomerate, operating under the theme "Integrated Infrastructure, Powering Tomorrow" — uniting energy security, clean energy expansion, and digital and AI infrastructure to support long-term economic growth for Thailand and the region.

Chief Executive Officer Sarath Ratanavadi stated that Thailand's hosting of Gastech reflects investor confidence in the country's energy sector. As the world transitions to cleaner energy, natural gas remains central to power system security, particularly as electricity demand accelerates with the rapid growth of data centers. He called on the government to establish clear policies on zoning and clean energy promotion to ensure genuine economic value. GULF recently partnered with Singtel on a submarine cable project to lower AI data processing costs and strengthen Thailand's regional competitiveness. Ratanavadi expressed confidence in Thailand's improving economic outlook, driven by government stimulus policies building foreign investor confidence, and reaffirmed GULF's commitment to long-term power business investment while expanding into data centers and digital infrastructure.

Throughout the four-day event, GULF is showcasing its business group through the GULF Pavilion (Booth No. C80), spanning over 420 square metres. The pavilion features an ecosystem showcase illustrating connectivity across GULF's four core businesses — energy, natural gas resources, ports and logistics, and digital and telecommunications — alongside an immersive 360-degree visual experience taking visitors from a secure energy foundation to becoming a driver of the new economy. Built on three strategic pillars, GULF is anchoring energy security through end-to-end natural gas and LNG infrastructure while accelerating sustainable power by expanding renewable energy.
