AirAsia Launches Points Booking Feature With 50% Rewards
AirAsia Rewards launches Points Booking feature with fixed point values per route, offering 50% point rebates on bookings made between September 7-30, 2026. Members can redeem points for any AirAsia flight booked at least 30 days in advance
AirAsia Rewards, the member points and benefits program under Capital A, has launched a new "Points Booking" feature that allows members to redeem AirAsia points for flights with fixed point values per route. Unlike standard booking channels where point requirements fluctuate based on ticket prices at the time of purchase, Points Booking offers set point values that make planning easier. Members can redeem points for any AirAsia flight on any route when booking at least 30 days in advance.
To celebrate the launch, AirAsia Rewards is offering a special promotion providing 50% point rebates on flights booked through Points Booking from September 7 to September 30, 2026. Shannon Liu, head of AirAsia Rewards member programs, explained: "We believe a points system must be easy to use and provide real value. Points Booking gives members clear visibility into exactly how many points they need for each destination, making travel planning simpler. The 50% rebate promotion allows members to get even more value from their accumulated points. For example, a Bangkok to Chiang Mai flight costs just 9,000 points, and members will receive 4,500 points back after the campaign ends."
Points Booking is available through the AirAsia MOVE app. Members need a minimum of 500 AirAsia points to redeem a flight. The feature offers flexible payment options: members can use points for the full fare or combine points with credit card payment. Points can also be transferred from credit cards or other loyalty programs to boost AirAsia point balances.
To redeem a flight through Points Booking on the AirAsia MOVE app:
