Gulf Development Public Company Limited (GULF) today announced the signing of a new multi-year Sales and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with ADNOC, one of the world’s leading energy companies, for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to strengthen GULF’s global LNG portfolio. The agreement will see ADNOC Trading deliver close to 2 million tonnes of LNG to GULF over a multi-year term, starting in 2027, reinforcing GULF’s strategy to build a diversified and resilient LNG supply chain that anchors its trading business. The SPA extends a partnership between ADNOC and GULF established through their first LNG supply agreement signed in 2025 and in line with ADNOC’s strategy to expand its presence in the Asian LNG market.

Mr. Sarath Ratanavadi, Chief Executive Officer, Gulf Development Public Company Limited, said: “This agreement reflects the strategic direction we have set for GULF Resources, to build a diversified and resilient LNG portfolio that serves as a strong foundation for our LNG trading business. We have been progressively investing in infrastructure and shipping capabilities, while continuing to expand our relationships with leading global LNG suppliers, strengthening every link across our LNG value chain, from upstream to downstream. This partnership with ADNOC not only enhances the security of our LNG portfolio, but also creates further trading opportunities for GULF in the Asian market. Together with our existing LNG agreements with other partners, it strengthens GULF’s LNG trading capabilities, enabling us to respond to growing energy demand in the future while supporting the region’s energy transition.” Nasser Al Muhairi, Acting CEO of ADNOC Downstream Industry, Marketing & Trading, said: “This agreement builds on our first LNG supply agreement with Gulf and reinforces ADNOC’s commitment to ensuring reliable energy supplies to our Asian customers. It marks another milestone in ADNOC’s global LNG marketing and trading platform, enhancing the scale, flexibility and optionality of our LNG solutions to meet growing global demand.”
